KENT CITY, Mich. — Crews are on the scene of a fire at a home at 165 North Main Street in Kent City. Dispatch tells FOX 17 they received a call around 6:22 a.m. about a fire at the residence.  Everyone at the residence was able to evacuate safely. DECATUR, Mich. — A Village of Decatur police cruiser was heavily damaged after being struck by an passing plow truck. Police Chief Thomas VanDerWoude told FOX 17 he was out policing a stop on M-51 on the curve near East Edgar Bergan Boulvard in Decatur when a plow struck his vehicle. No one was injured during this incident and according to Chief VanDerWoude, the plow driver was very apologetic. Michigan State Police are investigating this incident.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. —  The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 2-month-old near East H Avenue and Sprinkle Road in Comstock Township. The investigation began around 8 p.m. Sunday. It is unclear what led up to the incident and police haven’t released the gender or name of the child. Officials tell FOX 17 that an update will be available Monday morning. This is a developing story.

FRUITPORT, Mich. — Friends describe Courtney Frazine as an all-around positive person who showed a passion for every thing she did. Her life ended tragically on Saturday after an 18-year-old driver lost control and hit Frazine who was jogging. The accident happened in Fruitport near the 39-year-old’s home.
